In April 2026, we hosted our first major event, Common Ground, bringing together leaders from across Liverpool’s third and public sectors to make space for bigger, more open conversations. The day was designed not around presentations, but around dialogue, with panel discussions on prevention and early action, taking risks and doing things differently, and how social value is created through everyday work in communities.
Alongside this, smaller table discussions and informal networking created space for people to reflect honestly on what helps or hinders partnership in practice, and to build stronger connections across the system. The focus throughout was simple: creating the time and space to listen, challenge thinking, and start to shape better ways of working together.

It's really brilliant for me to sit in this room and feel uncomfortable.
